The first of the four big North American events to finish the ITF junior season has just three Brits, but others should join for the J500 next week.  Freya Peet lost in qualifying

Boys R1 (L48)

(1) Oliver Bonding bye

Girls R1 (L48)

Allegra Korpanec Davies v (Q) Ichino Horagawa (JPN)

Huge win for Allegra over the lefty twin

Boys R2

(1) Oliver Bonding def. (Q) Mason Taube (USA) 6-4 3-6 6-3

Girls R2

(6) Annika Penickova (USA) LOST to Allegra Korpanec Davies 6-4 7-6(7)

A lot of seed lost in the girls, so Allegra now plays a qualifier (who beat the Israeli seed who beat Allegra back in September)

Oliver also plays a non-seed who beat the seeded player in R2

Boys R2

(1) Oliver Bonding v Gustavo Albieri (BRA)

Girls R2

Allegra Korpanec Davies v (q) Maria Aytoyan (USA)

Thanks for the update CD - are these Mexican and USA J300 and 500 events over the next few weeks all 64 draws or a mix of 32 and 64?

DavidC indicated its a 48 main draw, so 3 rounds before QFs.  The J500s will be a 64 draw so again 3 rounds before QFs.

Thats a disappointing start to the Mexico/US swing, lets hope it picks up as the events get a little bigger and a couple more of our top juniors - Charlie, Hannah - come to town.

Noticed last night Allegra topped the final British Tour League standings also, well done to her for that.
