After TCU broke to go *4-3 up in the 2nd they paused the match while the women's doubles presentation was held which broke their momentum and they were broken straight back. After Lui double faulted to lose the set tie-break they took a strategic bathroom break and were dominant in the MTB. I'm not sure Lui realised he'd won as there was a momentary pause between the point finishing and him raising his arms in victory. Michigan had no answer to Pedro's serving with the same play over and over again of him serving wide for the return to only reach Lui at the net to smash or volley a winner. There was some deft net play from Lui.
So happy for them. It will be interesting to see how they do in the spring. After Jake leaves, JPJ unlikely to return and Gorzny having transferred, TCU seem to be in good hands for the coming season with Lui and Pedro leading the team.
The other winners were Michael Zheng (Columbia) won the men's singles. Dasha Vidmanova (Georgia) won the women's singles Collard and Chervinsky (Virginia) won the women's doubles.
