Thanks Jon. I have been reading here, just I don't generally follow wheelchair tennis enough to really contribute - other than all the best to the GB players!

Definitely and thanks Indy. Its like the college thread - I enjoy reading Lambdas much more in depth reports and analysis that I do here, but enjoy following whats going on and supporting the Brits.

Alfie and Gordon won their final doubles group match and head to the semis.

Andy P and partner lost and will end 3rd in their group and head out. Good experience for Andrew.

Andy L + and Greg Slade + face each other shortly

Todays action sees:

Final round robin matches in mens singles - Alfie and Gordon both need wins to secure semis spots.

Quad singles - Andy L goes in semis action today, up against Niels Vink. Be a massive shock if Andy wins but good luck to him.

Mens doubles - Alfie and Gordon in semis today , play Houdet and Caverzaschi and should win.

Quad doubles - final round of quad doubles, round robin, Andy L + beat Greg S + yesterday but both pairs unlikely to progress to the final.

And it is Oda next for Alfie, Oda won group A, de la Puente took Group B. Gordon is about to go 1 set all in his match in group a. He needs to win to go through otherwise it looks like he would lose out on count back to Fernandez.

In the quad singles, Andy retired at 5-0 down to Vink. Hope all is ok. Disappointing way to end the season for Andy.

Alfie and Gordon will play their doubles semi shortly.

Alfie and Gordon win their doubles semi and move to the final, where they play de la puente and Gerard, who they beat in the group stages.

Good day for them both today, both still alive in both singles and doubles.

 biggrin

fear that both their singles journeys will end tomorrow. Oda and Alfie are 8 all career head to head but Oda has won the last 3 and playing better this week.

Gordon is 8-7 h2h v de la Puente but has lost their last 4 matches.

The mens singles finals are underway:

Alfie lost the opening set 6/4 to Oda.

But Gordon won his opener 6/2 and is 2/0 second set, against de la Puente. Gordon is really giving it some this week!

Amazing, Gordon Reid wins 6-2 6-1 for a stunning victory. Gordon was seeded 5, upset Fernandez and de la puente here and won two matches in final set tie breaks. Into the final and in the doubles final later.

Alfie still in his semi , set down and 3 all.
