Very enjoyable day's tennis and no surprise the standard has jumped from last week.
Annabel Wong was probably the standout on the ladies side. Megan was off the pace for the first couple of games, but once she got into her rhythm, she was very good. For someone so young, her backhand is very good and she has all the shots in the book, but she plays the top seed who beat her at Loughborough next.
Elizabeth Evans played a very tight match against a very good Belgian, full of long rallies and the game went 3h30 mins with both girls really feeing it at the end.
Liv Zingg is very tall for her age, but lacked the power of shot to cause issues for her opponent. Sophia C was a lot better than last week. Casey Mauro also improved and had pushed the Norwegian girl close.
Daisy Wootton started well, but became a bit erratic against the top seed, whilst Danielle Britton was very good and won quite easily.
Mia Wainwright had a straight forward win and Izzy Burrow, who I've not seen before, sneaked through in a close match. Abi Redman is in a rich vein of form and dominated and Eva Hutchins won in 3 in a match she should have won in two.
On the boys side, Ferran Redza took out the top seed comfortably. He is so good from the baseline. Both Scott Watson and Eric Lorimer won easily. Scott looks so comfortable at this level.
Dan Hughes was very good as was the win for Harry Abel over the Austrian who played well last week.Lawrie Wilkin was too good for Kouros despite some physio during the match.
Eloise beat Annabelle in straight sets.
Elizabeth Evans won another 3h 20 match.
Abi Redman had to retire injured. She played out the second set, but she shouldn't have done and would have won the match.
Eva Hutchins lost in straight sets.
Scott Watson won again, but wasn't at his best. Lawrie Wilkin won easily. Dan Hughes won noisily. Harry Abel was a comfortable winner.
The other two Loughborough boys went out to Redza and Mazingham. Danielle and Megan are paired in the doubles and won, but Megan didn't play very well.

I've just watched the best performance in a set here ever. Megan Knight has taken the first set 6-1 and was unplayable.
Just to advise that the game Megan dropped was on her own serve and involved at least two double faults. The rest of the set was unplayable. Aces, return winners and numerous winners from all angles. Even a drop shot.
That set was better than anything I've seen at this level and that includes Emma Raducanu, when she won a J30 here a few years ago.
Megan was 5-2 up in the second. Got broken and managed to break back in a long game at 5-4
Don't forget the Ukrainian beat her at Loughborough in straight sets and was top seed and both the Ukrainians are training under the Delgado and Lee academy.
Megan beat Mia at Loughborough, but the scoreline was close.Daniella has Teodora, who played well yesterday, but struggled today.
Appreciate the reports Paulisi, really good to have context to the results! Sounds a very impressive win and performance from Megan (I thought she was great when I saw her at WImbledon in the summer), interested to see how far she can go. Good to see Scott battling through and continuing to get wins at this level too :)
