The BBC don't seem to be showing it, maybe the change in date upset their schedule too much.

Emma was saying on 5 Live yesterday that she has been playing properly in training for the last 3 weeks and particularly in the last week has been throwing herself about and feeling good.

So it looks rustiness much more the possible issue than fitness. I think she tends to get going reasonably quickly when first back after quite a time off but not necessarily in the very first match. So here's hoping.

But yes, the logical picks, especially with Harriet too not been playing recently.

I'm assuming it's because the Poland v. Spain tie is still only on the second singles match. Linette beat Sorribes Tormo after they spent almost 4 hours on court! If Swiatek wins you'd like to think they won't play the doubles.

I havent checked but they had planned the British matches for I player so maybe it is on there?

Poland won both singles against Spain, so presumably the doubles won't be played.
TNNS are suggesting that the first GB match will be at 7pm local.

Yes, though that was with suggesting ( indeed still currently suggesting ) that the Poland vs Spain doubles match would be 5.30 pm local ( ie. 4.30 pm BST ). So now that Poland have won the match without the need of the doubles, who knows?

Thanks for the link. I searched on the iplayer link on BBC TV and nothing came up.

According to TNNS app the doubles are being played and are 'starting soon'.......
