Argh. Tight as a drum. Hideous miss at *15-15. Arm looked so stiff and we are going three, with Sramkova now looking the favourite. Drat.

Katie hitting a lot of UEs, some horrendous ones.

At present Rebecca is playing by far the better tennis.

Katie has hit self-destruct sadly. Couldn't work out how to deal with Sramkova and is panicking.

The Slovak bringing some real quality and racing away.

Katie does get the break back but as soon as she levels Sramkova sticks the foot on the pedal again. Huge scoreboard pressure to have to deal with.

Oh Katie had an opportunity at 4-4 30-30* but she nets a backhand. Drat, drat, drat. Second ace in the game from Sramkova to hold.

Sramkova wins. She did deserve it I think but how gutting. It was there but just a couple of loose moments cost her it.

What a shame.

Sramkova was clever and took pace off the ball meaning Katie had to create it. Katie unfortunately got very tight when it mattered.

Oh well. Agree Sramkova deserved the win in the end. TBH if we are to win the doubles and make it through to the final, this could end up being a positive.

Same as at Wimbledon. This might do some damage hope she can somehow sort out of her nerves going forward.

We stand a good chance in the doubles against Slovakia but doubles against Italy would be very different, our girls have a combined ranking of 96, Italy's doubles pair have a combined ranking of 18.

I had to go out after the first set - such a pity that Katie couldn't carry that form through to a straight sets win.

The doubles is going to be a tough match. Fortunately both Heather and Liv have plenty of experience at this level.

 Is it Tereza who has been playing quite a lot with Liv? If they cancel each other out, being simplistic, can Heather out play Victoria

It's a huge ask for Hev and Liv to come out completely cold. Reminding myself what an incredible achievement making the Semis is, but this will sting if it slips away.

Slovakia's win over the USA in the doubles was incredible. Hugely dangerous pair.

Yes, Liv and Tereza are regular partners. If it was Liv and Tereza v Heather and Victoria I would put money on the win !
