National signing day yesterday, the first day when incoming students can sign their financial aid agreements to make their commitments official, has seen a raft of announcements confirming previously known verbal commitments and new signings.
Allegra KD officially signs for Florida and Ruby officially signs for Texas A&M New announcements include Teodora Prisadnikova for Texas Tech, Izzie Britton for South Florida and Sophia Christodoulou for Arizona.
I'm sure there will be more over the coming days including hopefully some of our boys.
Semi-Brit Kate Mansfield has verbally committed to Texas for next spring.
A native of London, England, Mansfield has a career-high WTA singles ranking of No. 883 and is currently No. 897. She has a high doubles ranking of No. 1467 and is currently No. 1475.
Mansfield was originally born in Denver, Colo., and moved to London at the age of 2. She began in tennis after being selected into the junior development program at the All England Lawn and Tennis Club (AELTC) on a visit to her school when she was 5 years old. She then trained on the Wimbledon grounds for 13 years.
"Kate Mansfield is someone we were very fortunate to find," Joffe said. "Kate has all the resources that make people great in whatever field they choose. She is very smart, driven, tenacious and determined. She also happens to have exceptional tennis talent with a pro style game. I know that her teammates, coaches and our staff are thrilled to have her join our family soon. We can't thank her parents, Walter and Nicole, as well as her coach and close friend Alejo Mancisidor, enough for their faith in our staff and program. I intend to work diligently with Kate in the service of her goals, and I anticipate great things ahead."

A bit surprising perhaps she didn't play for GB given she arrived in London at the same age as Emma Raducanu and came up through the AELTC/LTA system. She even has the Union Jack on her Instagram bio ahead of the Stars and Stripes.
Ella Mcdonald signs for Louisiana State, joining in January.
A little unexpected perhaps, but theres been a trend in womens college tennis over the last year to sign mid to high ranked 19 , 20, 21 year olds, with LSU being the most prominent in this trend. Ella will be their 4th top 600 WTA player on their roster joining Cadence Brace, Kayla Cross and fellow freshman Carolina Kuhl. LSU this year did allow Cadence, and in particular Kayla, to play more pro events during the spring season than most teams would have done. Whether this remains the case, which Ella can take advantage of, or LSU learnt it hurt them and won't allow it so much next year remains to be seen..
