October 2024 Player of the Month Vote

Three women have done well in singles at various levels this month. Millie Rajecki reached a W15 Final, W35 Semi Final and a W75 Quarter Final. Katie Boulter reached a WTA250 Final and a WTA500 Final but I finally went for Sonay Kartal for reaching a W75 Final and winning a W100.

Very torn but have voted for Megan - 3 great performances at only 13.

Thanks goldfish - this has one of those PoM ties, that weve seen a number of this season, written all over it! Many people torn, Id say.

Sonay's script has not been updated for her Hamburg W75 RU, which should now take her up to a CH in the mid 80s.

Ok, I dons t want to edit it as it sets the timer. Id hoped someone might have done it though this afternoon! Where was everyone!?

Perhaps you could have checked. But all good now ( CH may end up a few places lower than 82 but no great importance )

Apparently Sonay has landed at 88 according to a post CD made elsewhere. Still good!

Voted for JoMo as feel he introduced himself properly! Hoping he can continue that this week.

You and me both _ i felt 3 wins in a month from effectively nowhere was a real statement - hard to stack up against others achievements at a higher level, so understand why others went elsewhere for their vote, but this impressed me the most.

The vote is really far and wide this time, though, so lots of people seeing things in different players - probably the most widespread vote we have had so far, 10 players in the mix

I was really torn between Megan and Jack but went for Jack for another great month and also partly because he didnt win it in the month he got to the US Open semis ! Megan clearly has a great future though

Thanks Danny - the interesting thing is, Jack was our board Player of the Seasonin 2022, for a great "body of work" and yet, he didnt win Player of the Month at all and, indeed, has NEVER won player of the month. Despite some great achievements, there has always been someone who has just taken the award from him. So winning it would be a first for him (not that he will care, haha).

Megan, of course, has also never won one although several of the other players in the running have won PoM titles at various points.

Perhaps a top 2 have emerged? Last month we had 58 votes, so potentially got almost the same again out there and so a lot could change before Tuesday evening.
