That's a hugely disappointing result for Scott, overall it doesn't appear to be working out. If he can't make a go of it partnered by a former top 100 player I wonder how long he can play financially loss making tennis or if there is a point. I wonder where he can go from here?

The Skupskis told me that you had to get to the SF of challengers as doubles specialist's just to break even.
To be a specialist doubles player is really hard and it is really hard to make a living from unless you are within the top 60-70
And with the MTB system, it makes it harder to win as consistently - breaking through that group of 50-125 must be so hard and probably quite slow and laborious with the lack of opportunities to play the events at 500 level or above that exist; no easy points
Well, if you choose to, or can only, specialise in the less financially rewarding arm of the game, its not too surprising The LTA wildcards are make or break Joe Salisbury said he was within 6 months or so of quitting early on, when he thengot a wildcard to one of the top GB events (can't remember which one), did well - and suddenly, with those points, so many other doors opened and it took off. If he'd lost that event, he said, none of it would have happened

CD, I was excited about the new word and how to pronounce it, since typos are not usually your thing
