Great battling, to have been *5-4 up in the TB, then a little tentative and twice having to save MPs before coming through. When he's aggressive he looks very good.
Now onto 121 ranking points from just 8 counters since the end of July. Up to live ranked 385 and live GB #11.

And then essentially been winning quite a lot of tennis matches and climbing the rankings since July.
based on tonight , hes playing top 200 level or close to.
Yes, had a lot of ITF success over these last few months but now great to see this.
Not just at college, but at this college. These are his home courts on which he was undefeated in his final 3 years at Tennessee. He's comfortable playing on these courts and he has the local crowd support. He finished as the No 2 college player, was briefly the No 1 college player and probably would have finished as the No 1 college player had he not been injured at the end of college. Of course playing top 200 pros is a lot different to playing college players, but during his final semester, I didn't hear anyone from the college world doubt he was going to be top 100 one day.

I watched most of JoMos singles match. Our boy is really good! His volleying is, at times, world class IMO. So much more to come on his serve, groundstroke consistency, fitness and movement - but for me they were already at a very decent level, and then some. His opponent had a great serve, and hit the ball well - but JoMo always had the edge. To say the crowd was on JoMos side would be the understatement of the year - applauding Trotters double faults and going crazy for the Brits winners. Being a local college star has its advantages but it was REALLY upsetting Trotter at times - his problem TBH. I believe thats 18 wins in a row in fairly short order, including 3 ITF tournaments and now this Challenger - so Johannus must be on the limit of his powers of recovery Id imagine. Eubank is a massive step up in class - we surely cant expect a win here, but theres nothing to lose and he has home court advantage I guess. Id imagine in time JoMo is a Top 100 player for sure. Hard to predict anything more specific, but a terrific prospect - along with Jake Fearnley of course
