Week 44 - ITF W35 Loughborough, GB - Indoor Hard

The start of that third set was VERY close - Ranah had plenty of chances, it was 50:50
But as soon as she went properly behind, it was all one-way, which was a shame
But very good week for Ranah, still a teenager

We've talked a lot on here about Hannah, Mika and Mimi being our big hopes for the future, but it seems to me that we have others who have shown a lot of promise recently and would appear to have a very good prospect of climbing the rankings over the next year - Ella (19), Ranah (19), Marnie (21), and Millie (22) being 4 examples and not an exhaustive list. It's going to make next year's prediction competition very interesting I think.

Yes, predictions are going to be difficult ! When I set up the 2025 competition I think I'll need someone else to write a summary !

Sadly it was not to be, but still a very good week for Ranah

F:- Susan Bandecchi (SUI) WR270 [1] def Ranah Akua Stoiber (GBR) WR591 6-4 3-6 6-1

I note that Bandechi (unseeded) has just gone on to the win the title this week in the W75 in Germany, beating Snigur in the final

Susan Bandecchi has a CH of 164 in singles and 141 in doubles. Seems to have been out for a while but don't know why. Still ranked 1000+ in doubles despite having s WTA500 title.
