Jake into QF's where he could potentially meet Stan Wawrinka (Although he still hasn't played first round match yet!)

Yes, slightly bizarre scheduling. Neither of his potential QF opponent have even played their first round yet!

Re Billy, it looks like this might be his level at the moment. He had a run of good form earlier this year and now hes going through a relatively barren patch, unfortunately at the wrong time for his top 100 ambitions. Hes still got a few months where he will be ranked at least 100-150 to have a good go. Tiredness may well be a factor too - its been a long season and, despite his apparent indefatigability, it is bound to be a factor. I personally would like to see him take a break and attack Australia. Others may disagree. However, he doesnt have an overwhelming amount of points to defend the until the grass season so there are still plenty of opportunities.

I think I agree re Billy - a combo of reaching his level and finding better players match up to his game more, a subsequent lack of confidence against players he might have been expected to beat (like the Russian that Jake beat comfortably, Billy should have expected to win that himself) and tiredness at season end.

He is in qualies for Metz next week and then a week off and out to Japan for Yokohama Challenger - so stopping doesnt seem to be on the cards; Japan wont be a one week jaunt, so presumably he will play at least one more event after that before season end ( I think there is only one more Challenger week after Yokohama)

Good to see Jake continue his form, good stuff. And, yes, scheduling seems very strange!!

'Twill be between Stan & the Croat, Dino Prizmic, who put out the fifth seed, Luca Nardi, by 3 & 4 in his first round match, for the vacant QF berth.

Good set of wins for a scratch pairing against more established teams.

JF takes the first set 6-3 with a couple of breaks. Good hitting.

Does anyone know what the delay in the match is?
I started to watch but they're not playing.
