Watching a little bit of this and have to say that Sigsgaard has some serious game for a 27 year old ranked outside the top 100. Colossal serve, decent movement and defensive skills.

Very high quality match. Sigsgaard took the first set 6-2 and has been a break up in the 2nd.

Anton just broke back for 4-4 after a mammoth game where he had something like 6 break pts. Sigsgaard saved the first 3, all with aces. Anton did very well to hang in, keep his composure and keep bringing up chances

Good effort in winning one and being a finalist in another back to back - well done Anton for a good couple of weeks

Strange match really. Sigsgaard mixed up some power serving with some absolute junk, you never really knew what was coming next - a 140mph serve or a club player-style shank. Anton produced some quality tennis at times, especially when down in the second set. With a bit more consistency, he could have turned that around and won in 3.

Was down 4-1 (two minibreaks in the tiebreak). Levelled it up for 5-5. Sigsgaard nailed the line with a serve to bring up match point. Anton hammered a serve out wide which the Dane could barely return - as it was floating back it just clipped the top of the net and bounced over Anton's side, nothing he could do. Dirtiest net cord I've ever seen on a match point.

I don't know anything of Sigsgaard's story, except he looks like he had a long injury layoff at the start of this year. It was clearly a huge moment for him as he collapsed on his back at the end like he'd just won Wimbledon which was quite heartwarming to see.

And as a fellow male pattern baldness sufferer, it's always nice to see a balding man achieving good things in the sporting arena.

One other note - it's great to see the LTA actually creating something of a 'Centre Court' for futures with dedicated courtside seating. 15 years ago, there was no 'fan experience' whatsoever for the average futures tournament. And it looked like there were quite a few fans who showed up on a Sunday morning for the final.

But it looked like there was some massive kids event happening elsewhere in the building. There was near constant shrieking and general kiddie noise through the entire match. Must have been a little difficult for the players to handle after playing in serene silence for most of the week.
