RE: Week 43 - ATP 500 - Erste Bank Open - Vienna, Austria (indoor hard)

According to live tennis site, there are 4 pairs now qualified and 6 pairs left for 4 more places in Turin. Although Harri and Henry are 8th, they could get to 5th this week. Behind them currently, Lammons and Withrow are out this week and some 800 points behind them; they would need to win Paris to overtake them, Id say. And Gonzalez and Monteni are still in Vienna but future back and also face Neal and Michael next.

Its looking solid for Henry and Harri to qualify. Just a little further to push.

Remember Henry and Harri are guaranteed to qualify as Grand Slam champions if Bopanna and Ebden stay in the Top 7. They would have to be extraordinarily unlucky.

QF:  Tomás Machac (CZE) WR 27 (CH = 25 last week) vs (7) Jack Draper WR 18

Machac beat Dimi, the third seed, in three sets (6-7(5) 6-4 6-3)...

Jack found Machac hard to handle first few times they met, but Jack won in straight sets in New York at the US Open on his semis run, just a month and half back and the last time they played. .

So, will be tough but tough for Machac as well as Jack, I would say

Yes a tough draw for both. Although Tomas played a horrible match against Jack at the US Open. Really horrible.

I do, indeed, but, yes, I was just thinking about the top 8 place.

Yes would definitely qualify if Top 8, as at worst they would be the highest ranked GS champion as a non qualifier.

Some really good tennis - and Jack deservedly got the first set

But he'd defended quite a few break points and finally it had to happen

And the Czech took the second set

Hi, several times people have posted a link to a streaming site where you get 2 or 3 video sources, its a bit jumpy and freezy and unsyched narration at times but generally ok. I lost all the tabs on my ipad and can't remember the name of the site. Anyone know what it is ? Thanks
