Katie broke to love and appears to be on court just keeping herself active. Problem for Iga?

So Katie wins the first set tie break and Iga goes off court for an extended toilet breakbreaks Katies momentum. Katie breaks to go 2-1 in the deciding set and Iga goes off court for a medical time out. Iga has always employed sportsmanship and yet never gets challenged. I wont even go into the recent one month suspension (when even then she was still allowed to play). Hope Katie can maintain her focus and take this

Katie lost but not convinced by Iga. Done for doping, doth protest too much me thinks and can throw these MTOs etc when she is up against it. In contrast love our Katie for pushing her. Next time Katie.

Pity.

The Iga breaks look dubious but it happens particularly in the women's game and opponents have to train themselves to be able to resume rather better than Katie appears to have in the early games of set 2 and at *2-1 in the third. Though maybe it was at least as much, if not more, Iga upping her game after. composure breaks?

Generally though very well done by Katie. Really encouraging start to the year for her.

Katie guaranteed a top 24 seeding for Aus Open which means she avoids top8 seeds until at least 4th round.
