I know, Var - you're not wrong but it's a cheap little hobby, gives me something to fiddle around with, and always comes out well up on the year

The girs have done great today

The wins for Beth, and Marni, and Hep, are real mega points

And two more guaranteed GB winners today, of course

I imagine they'll move the other matches onto court 3, as the final match on that court looks as though it should be finished in 20 mins

Do you ever do say a silly punt on a slam, like say Jake to win Wimbledon or something? I always fancy doing that but its not very ladylike! Lol!

Oh, pish and tosh to ladylike biggrin

 or gentleman-like either biggrin

Nah, I don't do the 'silly' ones (well, only on very rare occasions after a glass too many smileno)

Court 3 has broken back and may now go on a bit longer hmm

I believe Court 3 has no spectator facilities so they will probably try to keep as many matches as possible on Centre!

 I don't think so

They've got Jodie v Ryser now on court 3, as expected, and there's tribunes on the left with quite a lot of people watching

Oh well if that's the case then Centre will be probably be out for the day.

 yeah, I think so

I guess they'll put Hannah v Sonay on the next available court - unless there's a strong preference between courts 1 and 3

And then the doubles on the next available one

It looks to me as though they've used court 2 to put up stands - one set facing court 1 and one set facing court 3

All well planned - apart from the leak in the roof no

Actually, telstar - we're both right

they've shunted off Jodie

but they've kept Sonay v Hannah on centre !

Warming up now

 Isn't it just !

Excellent level of tennis from both

Chalk and cheese compared to some of the rather poor stuff on display on other courts

I really enjoyed the Sonay/Hannah match too - well done to Sonay, played a strong match all round smile
Hannah's a lovely watch smile
Nearly vomited on my keyboard every time the male commentator called Sonay 'Karts' - I'm sure she's happy with this nickname, but I thought it inappropriate and somewhat annoying furious. Despite that, I managed to watch most of the match..

I agree the Sonay / Hannah match was excellent and I really enjoyed it. Just a shame it was a first round match. And if that wasn't bad enough we now have Sonay playing Jodie in round 2 and it will even harder to decide who to support in that one!! They both need the points NOW whereas Hannah has years ahead of her.

Sonay moves back to live 100 with todays win, but she could be caught. Another win wont change that position, the gap is a little too large to live 99.

Yes, now live #100 on 699 points. That's from just 15 out of a possible 18 counters and with nothing due off before the end of the year.

So good reason to think with her form over the last few months that she can establish herself for a clear year end top 100 place over the coming 3 weeks, by her results here and in the Glasgow and Hamburg W75s ( top of the entry list for the 2 W75s )

I see for instance that the current WR 90 is on 795 points.

Itll be really interesting to see how a really strong last three weeks places her in terms of player of the season. As if she cares!
