Well there's a space just opening up on tour for a Rafael! biggrin

Thanks, JonH. Just looked him up - this one is just 18 and has only played about 4 tournaments in pros. First two of which were in Ethiopia. Id always thought the Ymer brothers looked Eritrean/Ethiopian but didn't see anything about their background the one time I looked.

Both parents are Ethiopian (although they met in Sweden, apparently, after both had fled the war)

The dad became one of the top Swedish 10km runners, but didn't want his boys to go into running

On Eli's ATP page, brother Rafa is listed as one of his coaches

Which is a bit of a stretch if Rafa is only 18 smile

NB I've seen the two older brothers plays live several times - I like their matches - and they look SO alike - it's quite uncanny - look at the photo here, even with one smiling and the other not

Given that the Pole beat him by 1 & 1, obviously not!  wink

Majchrzak will be a tough opponent. Had a drugs suspension in 2023 (although found to have no significant fault) and has quickly climbed the rankings this year.

Possible main spots for qualifiers are Sonego, Moutet, Martinez and Davidovich Fokina. I'm gonna be bold and predict Jake to make round 2.
