1. Julian Cash/ Lloyd Glasspool - taking the ATP 500 Japan Open, unseeded. Julians first title at this level and takes him to a new career high ranking; a welcome return to top tier titles for Lloyd. Well done, lads.
2. Megan Knight - for (age 13) winning the singles and doubles at the J30 in Loughborough. In the singles, she progressed through the draw without losing a set as a WC and beat the top seed in the final. Also reached the final of the J60 event in week 41 at Loughborough, her first at that level of event, and qualified for the TE U14 Monte Carlo Masters event
3. Oli Bonding - aged 17, for getting his first ATP ranking point and therefore his first ranking at a CH of 1936. Also for making the final of the J300 singles in Beijing and winning the doubles (with Roh of Korea) at the same tournament.
4. Olivia Nicholls - for consolidating her position as GB doubles No 1 with a new CH of 41. This is resulting from a succesful trip to China with regular partner Tereza Mihalikova. They reached the QF in Beijing beating the top seeds, Dabrowski WR3 and Routliffe WR2 on the way as well as Pegula (CH=1) and Mohammad. In Wuhan they beat Kenin and Mattek-Sands (CH=1) in reaching the QF stage (more events to come this month as well)
5. Jo Monday - for winning the singles and doubles titles, unseeded, in the M25 Louisville, and then following up with a second M25 singles title in two weeks at Harlingen, Tx. More to come?
6. Sonay Kartal for winning the W100 in Shrewsbury and (potentially) setting a new CH of 91. With no points to defend this year it's likely this will secure her place in the AO main draw.
According to the ITF article, Sonay has the most (equal) ITF singles titles this season with 6 - haven't verified that but if true, then that is a decent season for her!

Absolutely - the ITF chose to just highlight the 6 ITF titles though Politics?!

Yes, with these ITF titles being 'just' W35s before last week's W100, her year is much more about that WTA 250 title, Wimbledon R3 and her entry into the top 100. Now that's decent!!
These 6 ITF titles account for a total of 275 out of her 787 ranking points.

Dont disagree at all - just highlighting the point that she has the most ITF titles on tour this season, which is still worthy of noting, I think. But , agreed, the other WTA/GS/Ranking achievements are of a different order again!

7. Millie Rajecki & Mimi Xu for winning doubles at the W100 Shrewsbury in their first time playing together. It is Millie's 2nd doubles title this year and Mimi's 4th - and for both their biggest title to date - and moves them both up over 100 places in the rankings to career highs of 245 and 307 respectively.
----
Can't believe they haven't been nominated for winning their biggest title to date. I wasn't sure whether to put them in together or separately in anticipation of them doing more great things individually or with different partners this week. I'll put them in together for now, but reserve the right to split the nomination depending on what they do this week.

Thanks Lambda - at last! I was also amazed, tbh!! Re splitting or leaving, your call, but you could also leave AND split, as has happened in the past - eg Alfie Hewett and Gordon Reid have been nominated before as a pair, Alfie has then gone onto great things later in the month and got a solo nomination - but left Alfie/Gordon as Gordon deserved the recognition. Ditto, similar happened back a few years ago with Dan Evans and Neal Skupski when as a pair they had some great M1000 results and then Dan went onto some great singles results as well; and I think we have seen it with a team nomination and subsequent team member getting a solo nomination.
But ultimately, your call as I consider you in control of their nomination now!

8. Jake Fearnley - for coming through qualification for the first time in an ATP250, in Stockholm (and then winning a round in the main draw.) Followed by winning a round in qualification in an ATP500 for the first time in Basel and coming agonisingly close to winning his FQR match as well. Has stayed inside the top 100 since first achieving that milestone, with a couple of new CHs as part of a slow climb up the 90s.
Thanks Tanaqui! Glad someone recognised those performances!
I was waiting to see how Jake did in Basel (and then trying to find enough brain to put together the nomination.)
(I'm starting to feel like I'm becoming the equivalent of Bob re Billy when it comes to Jake! I think I've nominated him every month recently. But then, he has been doing excellent things for the past 6 months.)

Id say hes also right up there with the several / few others who can feature as a contender in player of the season as well.

9. Heather Watson for a great W100 tournament at Shrewsbury , reaching the final with 2 wins over seeds including a highly impressive 6-1 6-1 win over Schmiedlova. A great battle with Sonay in a 5-7 first set but then the contest was over as Heathers leg injury ultimately forced her to retire. Good return to form by Heather and hopefully she recovers in time for BJK Cup next month.
Added Luca and made a small edit to Sonay to confirm her new CH.

10. Luca Pow - 19 yo, for gaining his first ATP ranking points in some style ( should enter in the top 1200 ) by reaching the Winston-Salem M15 final where he lost a tight 3 setter to fellow Wake Forrest collegiate Dhakshineswar Suresh (IND).
