It was yesterday and she had a nice birthday cake yesterday. Good natch for her though given difference in ranking's and coming back from injury.

A great effort although a shame to work so well to get the break at 3-5* only to quickly go *0-40 down. Nice to see her playing well at this level.

Just looking on the WTA live rankings for U18 doubles and Mimi is currently 6th. 580 on the full senior rankings. Not bad for the just turned 17 year old. Will be very interesting to see who Mimi forms a longer term partnership with.

Though surely singles will be very much her priority for the foreseeable future ( indeed for many years ) so any regular doubles partnership would then depend on having similar tournament itineraries.
