Weeks 39-40 - WTA1000 -Beijing, China, Hard

Heather is 387 points behind, so could make up the difference with a good run in one or more tournaments. Liv and Tereza could equally add points, so the outcome isn't certain for a few weeks yet.

 The gap appears to be 427 points ( 2055 to 1628 ) after adding in Liv's 215 ( net 130 ) points from here.

Also Heather gathered quite a lot of doubles points late on last year She has 5 counters totalling 402 ( net 296 ) points due to drop off by year end. Liv has 0 net points due to drop off.

Be very impressive if Heather overtakes Liv.

I used the WTA rankings, so didn't include Beijing, but did include a 100 point typo wink

I didn't check Heather's drops either - and as she isn't entered this coming week I doubt whther she will collect many more points anyway.

Thanks gents - so it strikes me that in the 4 senior ranking lists:

Jack is pretty much certain to be top - Cam could be v unlikely to catch him

Liv per above analysis looks pretty locked on

Henry, despite being number 2 currently, looks a hot favourite to top the mens doubles

Katie looks likely to take the womens singles although Emma could have a run.

Heather's playing Shrewsbury next. So it looks as though she's still focused on singles at least through the end of the year.
