Harriet now 4-1 up (1 break of serve) with an MTO I'm assuming is for Clara Tauson.

Harriet had 40-15* for *5-1 but Clara held and broke.

Oh dear. Harriet has *7* break points at 4-5* but can't take any - although in reality she on had a play on 2, all others Tauson found big served on. Tauson gets one set point and hits an ace.

Clara was getting a lot of treatment on her left side

She started to play better - her getting back into the set wasn't really Harriet's fault

But Harriet had SO SO many points to break back and make it 5-5

Most of which were saved with Tauson winners and good play

But two were absolutely on Harriet's racket - and she missed

She is not happy.....

Ouch


An obviously hampered Tauson completes the comeback. Harriet had chances in the second up 4-1 40-15*, and while Tauson started to play much better, the third set she basically imploded. All Clara had to do was stand and swing.

 

Out 5-7 6-4 6-1. Yuk.

Overall a pretty good performance against a dangerous opponent. Not bad for first match since US Open.
