Blockx will be an interesting opponent. One of two Belgian 19 year olds to have held the junior No. 1 ranking (Gilles Bailly is the other), he is making a steady climb up the rankings and lots is expected of him.

I saw Blockx playing in Glasgow good prospect he beat Hamish Stewart.
I don't think Jacob fears anyone. It's felt that way since he played Novak at Wimbledon. He clearly seems to trust in his own game and ability.
Last time I felt excited truly about a players prospects was when Cameron was coming up and I always thought then he would do really well.
Just a matter of time before Fearnly will be up there in the top 50 and fighting for even more. I predict it now. Good times ahead post Murray.

Out of interest, did Jack Draper not excite you as much as Cam? Personally, his potential excited me more than Cam. Partly because Cam until 18 represented NZ and so wasnt really someone I was personally getting too interested in, and then he was off in the USA at college. Whereas Jack has grown and developed in the UK eye and, honestly, has a big game that should take him further than Cam - noting Cam reached the top 10, Jack hasnt yet, but I think Jacks possible high tops that and for longer.
nonetheless, Cam has done well with a different set of weapons to Jack and I hope he is able to get back up there again.

Yes, Jack has done amazing and I indeed predict bigger things to come for him. I was following Cam when not many folk were talking about him and he seemed under the radar. He was doing so well in college and had swapped to GB. He was way down the rankings but I just saw something special in him to make the main tour and have a good career. The same with Jake. What he has already done this year shooting up the rankings is incredible. Tougher times ahead for sure but he seems destined for life on the main tour. After that what happens nobody knows. We wait and see. But yes, Jack is starting to excite me more now. He has a great career ahead. But whether anyone of these players can win a slam like Andy or reach no 1 may be impossible. I'm the sort who would be happy just to see more players in the top 100.
SF: (8) Jacob Fearnley WR 126 defeated Alexander Blockx (BEL) WR 249 by 4 & 3
Final: (5) Harold Mayot (FRA) WR 115 (CH = 108 in July) vs (8) Jacob Fearnley WR 126
And Jake beat Harold 64 62 two weeks ago.
Not a technical expert, but looks as though Jake has a wrist snap on his forehand which is quite distinctive.
Yes, I agree, and he didn't really used to have that before he went to college.
But it must take a lot of forearm strength to have that snap, without injuring the wrist, so I'm guessing it's something he added at college, as he got older and stronger
And just a reminder that, thanks to the new Next Gen Expense Support programme, Jake will be receiving an extra $1,000, just for entering the challenger
