Sofia and Imogen dont look to have played each other in any official events, according to the ITF head to heads. Any thoughts on who is most likely to be favourite?

I don't have a favourite here. I want them both to win.
ITA Ranking and WTN suggest Sofia should be a comfortable winner but I don't think they are the most reliable guides here and certainly not if other results this week are anything to go by. I would still say Sofia should be the winner though, but it might be close. Sofia looked very impressive yesterday. The question for Imogen is how much energy has she left with it being her 7th singles match in 6 days.
Over in the consolation draw, Gabia gets a walkover and a much needed day off.

Good answer ! You should be in politics!
its a long old haul of a tournament isnt it - and with unreliable rankings, the chances of players going deep in the event from a Pre qualification start do increase the chance of players being played out by the end of it. How many PQR players are still left in the two singles events?
5 men and 5 women came through to the main draw from pre-qualifying. Of those 2 men (Max Sheldon and Jaden Weekes) and 2 women (Carmen Andreea Herea and Imogen) are still in

For those of us not so close, how would those in the know rate the standard of this event? Are we talking maybe like an ITF 25 or maybe a 15? Surely not higher than a 25? But maybe with overall deeper level given the number of players taking part?

Five years ago so not that relevant. Sofia is a year older.
I see Sofia is up by a set 6-2 today, and 3-0 in second.

5 would be great , in the last 16s. Apart from the USA, hard to imagine any other country having as many? That said, are there any stats on how many players from each country are playing at this level (Div 1)?
