Luca+ and Billy & Will won their doubles matches and Hugo+ was given a walkover to qualify for the main draw where they join Lui Maxted+ (WC), Oliver Tarvet+ [who plays Luca+], Alex Okonkwo+ (WC) and 2nd seeds Freddy Blaydes+.
Millie+ qualified for the main draw. Imogen+ lost but gets through as a Lucky Loser. They join Grace Piper+ in the main draw.
Lui and Will have been given a tough route to make the QFs and a NCAA qualifying spot. If Lui wins his R1 match he will likely play Ozan Baris, the #1 ranked player in the pre-season rankings and therefore top seed here. Will plays a pre-qualifier in the opening round, and if he makes it through his first 2 rounds then he will play the winner of the prospective Ozan/Lui match. If neither Lui or Will make it to the QFs they will have another route to the NCAAs through the consolation draw, but I think as they are in the same 1/8th of the draw they would meet each other before the consolation draw final and so both wouldn't be able to qualify for the NCAAs at this attempt. But they make spring a surprise and beat the #1 and we need not concern ourselves of that.
As all players directly in the main draw will have an ITA ranking, I'll drop the WTN now and just use ITA rankings.

Is the consolation draw a straight play back through the bracket that has already been drawn, or will they do a new draw for the consolation event?
Our women haven't been given easy draws either. Sofia could have got luckier than having to open with a seeded opponent. For a ranking Sofia is heavily dependant on these competitions as there are a lack of highly ranked opponents in her conference. Not that rankings have any significance now when not returning the next season. But that said she has the ability to beat many higher ranked players than her, so this will be a good test for her. Gabia plays Annabelle Xu who knocked out Vic Allen in the NCAAs in May to reach the round of 16. We will be doing well to get more than 1 win here, but there is an outside chance I think of up to 3.
Ro64: Sofia Johnson (ODU) 37 vs [13] Julia Garcia Ruiz (Oklahoma) 16 Ro64: [Q/PQ] Imogen Haddad (USC) UNR vs Guillermina Grant (Georgia) 75 Winners meet in the next round

Don't know. I think they just feed in to the same line they were in the main draw.
As a fan of Sofia I should have had more confidence in her than just an outside chance as she demolishes the 13th seed 1 & 1. It just strengthens my belief that had she chosen to play her college tennis at a Power 4 school she would be ranked top 20.
Ro64: Sofia Johnson (ODU) 37 DEFEATED [13] Julia Garcia Ruiz (Oklahoma) 16 | 6-1 6-1
Meanwhile in the men, and of interest to Lui and Will, we're on upset alert as the top seed drops the 1st set 2-6.
Lui leads having taken the first set tie-break 7-1.
Lui through 7-6(1) 6-1. But he may face the top seed in the next round yet who from in danger of going a set and a double break down wins 6 games in a row to take it to a decider.
Valiant effort by Gabia but Xu raised her game. She can be proud of what she's achieved this week and maybe it gives her coached some food for thought in team line-up for the team season.
