Week 38 - ITF W100 Caldas da Rainha, Portugal - Hard

So likely that both Jodie and Beth will lose the singles, but one MUST win doubles. So some silver lining.

Nice of them to give Emily WS and Conny a wildcard

And to draw them against other wildcards !

Would be nice if the ITF would actually show wildcards on the draw !

Half of the official tennis websites are just there to drive you mad no

I like the ITF livescore page because I believe those are the people who are actually playing/going to play - and the wildcards, ALTs and LLs are always marked, plus seeding - although they put seeding for the quali draws in the same way as seeding for main draws - which has been know to confuse me (not tricky)

I wish the ITF would get some different Cookie software, some of their pages now have spy-wear that you can't turn off.

A disappointing result after beating Parks last week.

Very tough draw for Jodie.

We'll see later today. I'd say tricky but Martic has been pretty woeful at times this year. If Jodie hadn't had some time out injured I'd say she would easily deal with Martic 4 times out of 5.  I saw Martic's match at the US open and she was really bad.  Depends which Martic turns up I guess but Jodie has a very good chance.

Jodie will be frustrated with that second set. Twice had 40-0*, and had 40-15* in the last game, but never managed to break. Played better than last week though.
