Week 38 - ATP Challenger 75 - Columbus, OH, USA (indoor hard)

Bless him, watching Kyle at the net in doubles is seriously funny

the ball goes past him three foot from his shoulder - and he's, no, not taking that

then the next ball is two foot from his shoulder - no, thinks, Kyle, I'll leave that one

and the next ball is about 6 inches from his shoulder, completely on his side of the court - still too risky, thinks Kyle, I'll leave it

Poor Ryan at the back of the court ......

With Ryan at the net and Kyle serving, it's a bit more orthodox

Are we finally beginning to see signs of life from Kedders ? I certainly hope so. He has had a couple of decent weeks now and let's hope this one has more to go.

When I saw he had entered the doubles this week I was reasonably sure that he was feeling a lot more confident about his knee and if that is the case, he should start climbing the rankings, maybe not to the dizzying heights of 2018/19 but atleast into GS qualifying. Hope he continues to progress.

Somewhere around WR 78 by the end of the year would be nice wink

Interesting to note that Kyle is now being coached by David Sammel who was with Liam for a long time. Noticed this thanks to his interaction with Steven on Twitter.

I wasn't aware of that which is surprising as I would normally have spotted it on Twitter.

Edit

For some reason Steven was 'blocked' on my account.  Sounds like Elon Musk has struck again.  I have heard of lots of people losing followers for no reason.

Even I only found out due to that interaction! He's coaching Oliver Bonding too, who got his first singles point this week, so it must feel like a very good week all round!

Ah, so that's why I was notified that you had followed me this evening. I thought you had been following before and assumed you'd just had enough of the tweets for a while! So many weird things happening on Twitter, and I find Musk absolutely odious, but I'm not sure I want to try starting again somewhere else unless/until there really seems to be no other option but to leave.
