For a 500, after an easy qualifying route, Heather has surely fallen on her feet with that draw.

Heather up 6-4 *4-4

Had a couple of break points which she missed with errant forehands.

Yay, takes her third match point from 0-40* down to break and win 6-4 6-4

Forehand looked very fragile, backhand was strong.

Yes, live rankings showing +28 to WR155 (Heather is up 1 to WR183 in the latest rankings, issued today)

Kostyuk or Rus next - they play last today on Centre Court

taking advantage of a generous draw - which is great, in a big ranking point event.

Although these post US Open WTA 500 events dont appear to have depth of fields to match the points allocation?!

Originally there were four top 10 players on the entry list - they all withdrew. That is the main reason why the draw is weak - along with the WTA250 in Thailand.

Yes, if I were part of the Korean federation, having a WTA 500 event, with zero top ten players - I'd be absolutely livid

It was the same in Monastir.

To close to the US Open. Top players needing a break.

Slightly off topic, but Jack Draper very critical of the ATP schedule and very few opportunities for a break.
