Well done Fran. She beat a high flying young player in R2 she now has another high flying young player in the QF. Then if she wins she gets another unseeded player in the SF before meeting the 2nd seed in the F.

Fran has just won the first set 6-2 and I have discovered a stream on the WTA site. I'd no idea these were available for 125 tournaments.

 They are called challengers now so it makes sense that they would do as the ATP does with its challengers, albeit it's taken a long time for the WTA to see sense in anything they do.

Thats a shame after a great starts but Teichman is a decent player. Should give Fran a ranking boost though.
