Long way back, especially for a man who seems to have forgotten how to win.
:(
He has had terrible luck with injuries, including headbutting his boot and getting concussed and now he is trying to play despite having tennis elbow.
It will take time to get over tennis elbow and to get match fit....
Indeed - and nobody is happier than me when Liam wins.
But, given his last win was in March against the world no. 1,059 and since then his record is 0-9, and he just lost a three-hour match against the world no. 215 - which he served for - I don't think it's a million miles from a fair comment.
And note the frown face in my OP. I wish it were different.

It might not be a bad thing if Liam played a few M25 events in the autumn to try and get some wins and play under his belt; maybe the 3 UK ITF events coming up in October/November would work for him to enter?

Was thinking this the other week for Kyle but same could apply for Liam. If they have the funds then Id try and head to the two challengers in Australia in late October. Normally weaker fields there also there are some M25 events either side ablight with a week gap before/ after the challenger. Not a cheap trip but if you can find it then it could pay off. Of course the counter argument is it wont be building your game by playing potentially weaker opponents but if I tells to get into challenger qualifying going forward then I think it would be a good gamble.
Jakes win over Paire - 37 minutes. Much as I think Jake is talented and will go far, I think that says more about Paire than it does about Jake!!
Yes, Paire's obviously not in a great place right now, but good to see Jake comprehensively taking advantage of that. Which hopefully also means Jake is fully over the niggle he had at the US Open after taking a break from competition for a couple of weeks.
