I make it her biggest win of the decade so far by ranking (by opponent's ranking I mean, it's much bigger by ranking gap!), her 3rd biggest of all time and her 4th win against a player in the WTA top 150:
2012: v WR 92 (2) Misaki Doi (JPN) - Toyota W75 R2
2019: v WR 118 (7) Marie Bouzkova (CZE) - Manchester W100 R2
2024: v WR 120 (q1) Julia Riera (ARG) - Guadalajara WTA QR1
2013: v WR 122 (3) Tadeja Majeric (SLO) - Trabzon W50 R2
As someone pointed out recently, Riera has only won one match since qualifying at Roland-Garros (a US Open QR2 win against Gjorcheska) and Argentine tweeters are moaning about her losing to an 'unknown' 36-year-old , but I still think it's a very encouraging result for Sam.

I cant recall if Guadalajara is at altitude and the air will be thin and courts quick? Nonetheless, thats possibly the rankings result win of the season!
