The Canadians have shapo and FAA I cannot see us beating both of them.

Well the fact we have to win 3-0 makes the line up simple for Leon I'd say.

Evo v Shapovalov
Jack v FAA (hoping both step it up big time after yesterday)
Neal/Evo v Shapovalov/Pospisil

As has been said, winning all 3 rubbers is very tough, the lads may need the crowd tomorrow because both Canada singles players have been exceptional this week and their doubles are an established team too. It's looking good for Finland at the moment in doubles as they are a set up so Canada could actually have officially qualified before a ball is struck tomorrow, I doubt that will affect how they play. Of that is the case then our lads could be motivated to get one over Argentina and that in turn will lead to them playing their best

If Canada have qualified tonight, and lets hope, they may also be tempted to change out on or more players? Diallo and Galarneau have come all this way and not played , it may be tempting to play them in the singles slots?

I am sure the Argentinians would be amused if Canada did that, ha.

Kinda doubt it, and in that scenario GB would win the group if they win 3-0. Is there not QF seeding for the group winners?

I dont think it would look good at all, but FAA and Shapo could very well have picked up some niggles they need to be careful of, you know?!

Well Argentina win and qualify for Malaga meaning it's a straight shoot out between GB and Canada for the final spot so it's very unlikely Dancevic plays Diallo or Galarneau now, it's almost certainly going to be Shapovalov and FAA with one of the singles players partnering Pospisil in the doubles.

As I said earlier, now is the time for Evo and Jack to step up and be counted plus Evo/Neal to produce the same as yesterday otherwise it's curtains and we'll be playing a play off just after AO which will certainly please Jack :/.

It's likely we'd be playing a Qualifier in February anyway unless we wim the title.

Not necessarily because I'm sure semi finalists get an automatic bye into group stage alongside 2 wildcards so we'd effectively only need to reach the final to avoid the play off, which again is unlikely.  I think it's fair to say that by this time tomorrow we'll know we're in a play off not long after the AO but will have to wait until November finals to discover if we're seeded pr not plus who'll play and if it's home/away.

Praying for 3-0 tomorrow but understand it's highly unlikely

For this season, the 16 finals teams comprised:

16 nations will take part in the group stage of the finals. The qualification was as follows:
2 finalists of the 2023 Finals (Australia and Italy)
2 wild card teams (Great Britain and Spain)
12 winners of the qualifying round, in February 2024

Presumably the same for next year, so we would need to reach the final in Malaga or get a wildcard. However, The agreement between the LTA, the ITF and Kosmos Tennis to host a Group Stage in Great Britain will last for five years, on the basis that Britain qualifies or receives a wild card for the finals in each of those years. I think that still stands (excerpt taken from LTA website). So if we qualify for the finals, we will again host a group.

Wild cards, oh dear.. You know instinctively that sporting endeavour is secondary to following the money when you hear that term.
Very likely we'll be playing a knockout qualifier in Feb25 but this is fine. GB have some players in the wings who I'd love to see on national duty and a chance of a home tie.

In the first of the 5 years they used Glasgow, swapped to Manchester last year and this. I guess tbd if we get to host one next season or 2026
