I think Dan would be an excellent commentator, his 'unique' insights would be priceless. Lets face it, if the BBC can hire Nick Kyrgios then Dan should be a shoo in.
Of course, Liam and his family spent half their careers battling the LTA, so cant see him going into roles aligned to them; I actually think he could be a good agent for top players, managing their careers and doing deals..no evidence, just a feeling
I wonder how long Liam Broady will go on for? It must be really hard to toil away at obscure events after he had broken into the top 100 late in his career only to get a bad imjury
Yes, but just like Dan Evans, we have to ask: what are they going to do instead? How are they going to earn their wage?
Liam has the benefit of knowing he'll (almost certainly) get favourable treatment each time Wimbledon comes round - and quite rightly given the Davis Cup service he's done, as training partner etc
And so that's quite a pay packet.
Dan has been quite vocal about it in the past
Yes, Liam was top 100 at the start of the year and is still only 30. He has built up to there before, he can again. With these other things CD mentions, fit and well, I really can't imagine Liam at all contemplating retirement for years.
Plus, on an individual basis, I think folk often underestimate how much many players just love the life and competing even well beyond their best ( and as I indicate, in the medium term Liam can yet get back at least close to his own best ).

I agree, a fit and well Liam can get another 3-4 years or so if he wants to and , if fit, no reason why he cant get back to where he was. It might feel demoralising now, but it doesnt have to stay that way. When I have seen Liam, he has looked like he is happy generally.
Is he with Dave Sammel still or did they split recently? He and Andy are good mates, maybe Andy can mentor/ coach him on a part time basis?
L16: (WC) Marin Cilic (CRO) WR 1082 (CH = 3 in January 2018) vs (Q) Kyle Edmund WR 452
Cilic will be 36 at the end of this month. He survived a battle with the local sixth seed, Blanchet, beating him by 6-7(5) 6-2 7-6(4), in his first round match.

Not really a surprise, I imagine Cilic still has a good level. I wondered if Cilic was planning to play other events? And he does - he is using a PR to play Tokyo and Shanghai ATP events, so this is clearly a come back from him after injury (presumably)
I could definitely see Dan and Liam in the media. After all Barry Cowan, who once took Sampras to 5 sets at Wimbledon but did very little else of note as a player, has made a pretty decent career out of it.
Dan seems to enjoy the team environment so I wouldn't be surprised if he went into coaching, even as a number 2. Liam would make a decent Davis Cup captain...
