Although the womens Portuguese event seems well behind schedule , anyone know the plan there?
From the tournament thread :
Yesterday - "Singles cancelled for the day. Plan is to play 2 rounds tomorrow and SF and F on Sunday. Indoor courts are unavailable as they are being used by the men. The mens tournament has TV commitments."

That all said, Fran is currently playing her R2 match on an indoor court. But at least she's playing and evidently some outdoor courts are operational ( presumed problems with the courts drying enough ).

I feel like Sonay could have more written about her achievement, although not close enough to the detail to know what? But it feels sparse relative to many others? In case anyone is able to give it a go

Wirh her US Open Q FQR being last month, really that's all () she's done in the last month - win a WTA 250 from Q and surge up into the top 100. I just expanded it slightly.

I think Jake will need a narrative upgrade though, following tomorrows final outcome.
No doubt about it with this week's Orleans details to be added to the existing Rennes script. Plus a rankings update - could of course join Sonay in surging into the top 100.
