I cannot believe Alex has thrown this away. Loses the last 5 games like this. I think there are serious questions over his temperament. Fair play for all he's achieved this year but he's got to start wining from positions like that. What a disappointment.
thats very dissapointing, al will be kicking him self hard cause he knows he should have won, hes got to really put this behind him quickly and get ready for grass now. we didnt expect him to qualify to run so close makes it harder. lets hope we will find out a bit more if the lta do a report, i hope his leg has held up ok.

Hopefully he'll calm down and see it as a learning opportunity to draw on next time he's a break up in the third set; then look on the bright side, think of the three extra ranking points, the prize money, and the opportunity to work on his grass court game for an extra week.
After he's thrown a few raquets around the locker room and kicked the cat, that is.
al's serve still needs work, you have to get more then 65% in when your 2nd is soo weak.
really a match of missed oppoutrines and huge ammounts of bps, al did 4/12 charpy 5/17.
4dfs from al too, countering the 4 aces.
looking at the stats charpy deserved to win (just), but i think it all came down to those last few games, possibly al just ran out of steam, it was a longish match, over 2 and half hours, coming on the back of yestedays match (not so bad at hour and a half) with al lacking the practice recently it wouldnt suprise me.

Losing a big match after being 5-2 up in the third is dreadful, especially to such a lowly ranked player. Several times Al was just a two of points away from victory. This is hardly going to do his confidence much good.
