Of course no reason that Brits should aim to make all British partnerships on the international tennis scene. But it does seem perhaps slightly anomalous that all 13 of our US Open doubles MD entries over men and women are paired with a variety of other nationalities. 3 are with Americans, 2 with Australians.
Just a reflection of course that we currently have no regular top ranked all British partnerships.

Yes interesting, although only four of the top 10 men's pairs, and 3 of the top 10 women's pairs on the rave are from the same country.
L64: Alexander Erler & Matwé Middelkoop (AUT/NED) CR 130 (49+81) defeated Ariel Behar (URU) & Luke Johnson CR 111 (43+68) by 3 & 4
They'd have had to face the top seeds, Granollers & Zeballos, in the last 32, had they won, but it would no doubt have been an interesting experience for Luke & Ariel.

And another one bites the dust:
L64: André Göransson & Sem Verbeek (SWE/NED) CR 121 (67+54) defeated Jamie Murray & John Peers (AUS) CR 92 (34+58) by 4-6 7-6(6) 7-6(13-11) in three hours & seven minutes
They had their chances in the second & third sets.
