That was a strange match . I dont think Jack even played that well and De Minaur was troubled by his hip but a wins a win .
The pressure is off for the semi-final and hopefully they wont schedule it as the night match .

Ordinarily you'd expect a SF final featuring either the World No.1 or former US Open Champion to have the night match but with 2 Americans in the other SF the chances are good that it'll be the afternoon slot (which works better for TV anyway with the 2 players from Europe in the 1st SF playing in what will be early evening for us)
So Jack has just equa!lled Emma's 14 sets in a row at the US Open main draw! Hoping he can just keep it going but I also enjoy seeing a bit more of a battle so last set was interesting.

Tim Henman didn't get the grueling 7 hour match that he was hoping for between Jannik Sinner and Daniil Medvedev (for Jack's sake) basically because 3 of the sets were very one sided. 6-2 and 6-1 to Sinner in sets one and three with a 6-1 win for Medvedev sandwiched between made for a relatively quick match. It wasn't until the fourth that we got a reasonably competitive set. And then Sinner broke serve in the 7th game to leave himself only having to hold serve for the win which he duly did. Not the hugely draining match that Tim was hoping for at all for the tournament favourite.
Sinner is world No. 1 for a reason. I think the fact that he's had a hip issue this season (plus tonsillitis during the Olympics) has made him look more vulnerable than he has ended up being.
