Jeremy Gschwendtner

The 26-year-old Londoner's results in ITF events have been hit & miss, to say the least:  he's tended to focus on those in eastern Europe &, more often than not, had to come through qualifying, sometimes succeeding, sometimes not.  If he qualifies, he tends to lose in the first round of the main draw.  He has reached the second round once or twice, only to lose there!  Earlier today, however, he reached the quarter-finals of the M15 in Arad in Romania, where he was a DA into the main draw, with a straight-sets win (0 & 0  biggrin) over a local qualifier.

He seems to be falling a bit short of his goals, as set out on his "Make a champ" page, but he deserves some credit for his persistence.  I'm curious to know whether anyone on here knows anything more about him.

Jeremy notched up another quarter-final appearance this week after qualifying for the M15 in Monastir, losing out to the German second seed, Tom Gentzsch (WR 424), in straight sets (4 & 3).  Onwards & upwards for him, I hope.
