Court 10 for Brit action today with Sonay on first followed by Billy then Jan. Lily is second on Court 6. So should all be done and dusted not too late.

I haven't looked how they schedule generally but, not just this year, I do notice the US Open often scheduling Brits on the same court. Good if you are there and want to watch a few.

Id noticed that - looking at other courts, court 14 seems to be a French players court with 3 of the 4 matches having French presence. Not clocked if theyve done this before but it does make sense; plus for British followers back home, we avoid clashes of our players if we want to watch on whatever channels are showing it.

Thanks.  I'm looking at live rankings and there doesn't seem to be any addition which would suggest you are correct.

Definitely not until the end of the US Open.

Yes, at which point Billy is due to drop 16 points from a challenger tournament from last year, ie  exactly the same points as he has so far earned for reaching the FQR here, so provisionally still on 552 points.

Of course any more wins here put him into profit, 30 + 10 for qualifying and playing MD R1 being a net 24 point boost. Plus he is down for a challenger in the week beginning 02/09 ( Shanghai 100 ). Many others too will be playihg various tournaments on the coming two weeks.

So be quite a bit of overall rankings toing and froing before we get to the post US Open 09/09 rankings.

Looking ahead to the rankings for the 9/9, Billy as it stands would be up to 99 based on points dropping. According to Openera rankings. Obviously a lot of points to play for before then. Not sure how accurate openera is.

The OER forecast 09/09 rankings is showing Billy on 548 points.

So for now it seems to be replacing the 16 points due off with his first non counter of 12 points rather than the 16 he has earned here so far which would take him back to 552 points.

Billy went down 0-2 early on but broken straight back and now leads by a break *4-3.

A bit of a nervy game serving it out but the man from the Isle of Man (via Nottingham) wins the first set 6-4.
