Completely agree with the decision not to grant Lily a main draw WC.

While her previous progress here might have been noteworthy from a British tennis perspective, from a wider tournament view it is no more than a deep-dive footnote. You could probably rattle off a score of  other players who would be more deserving versus the generally accepted criteria for a wildcard.

Indeed, but who was suggesting otherwise?  There were one ot two queries on the forum about her getting a Wimbledon MD WC, which was clearly a very different matter, and logically she did get one there.
