Middlesex girl - 2008 born. To be honest, unless shes playing several levels higher than normal the results say more about the level of the J30 than anything else. Shes a solid county level player - rarely got past the quarters of LTA regional tournaments. Lovely girl but I would be surprised to see more results like this

J30 St Vincent & G

Ron Roopesh and partner lost their doubles final, 5-7 2-6

But Sophie continues her somewhat surprising run, winning the final, beating an American girl over 1000 places higher ranked than her (the same girl who beat Sophie 1 & 1 in the previous event !)

(thanks for the info, Rose)

FINAL: Sophie Buzzigoli (GBR) JR 2974 def. (2) Thea Latak (USA) JR 884 4-6 7-6(2) 6-2

J30 Botswana

Josh Aston has won his QF and into the semis

J100 Poland

As well as Dan Hughes, Sarah Copley also won her R1 - but lost in R2

J60 Skopje

Lara Savic is into the doubles SFs

Young Tomas Gabor (U12) is one of the Tennis First grantees

He is playing a Cat 1 U12 Tennis Europe event, the UH Cup, in Czechia, this week

And has made the final - good luck, Tomas !

(am wondering if there's a family connection? Rosie? Tomas without his 'h' makes it seem well possible?)

Well done to Lara who has made the doubles final - her first final, indeed her first time past a QF

J60 Skopje

Lara Savic (2009) and Roumanian partner won their SF, 7-6(5) 6-4

J60 Skopje

Lara Savic (2009) and Roumanian partner lost their dubs final

But a good week, all the same

NB The preciously talented young Chinese player, Xinran Sun, born 2010, won both the singles and doubles here - I like her tennis
