If Harriet also wins the singles, she could go top in singles and doubles national rankings ! Go Harriet !

I'm really enjoying this thread biggrinbiggrin

Hope they both win tonight!

But Poots  is on very good form currently, so  in my opinion unlikely she will go through.

Darn, so she might not win the title

Sorry, I went off Harriet this year at Nottingham, but Poots, whom I used to  regard as  a tennis delinquent, is now now on my 'favourite's list'.

Poots was in the main draw for Canada but pulled out before the start with a knee injury and was replaced by lucky loser Taylor Townsend. Then Dayana Yastremska retired in her 1st round match against Townsend. I wonder if these players will be fit to play this week.

Double back on for Harriet then?

How do you win the first set 6-2 (with chances to make it 6-1) and then win just 5 of the next 18 games!!!

Dart following in her footsteps.
Wins first set 6-4 and then gets broken immediately in set 2.

Two three set losses sadly. Would have expected Katie to beat Linette on these hard courts really.

Elina Avenesyan got in as a LL - and prompty won

Shame for Katie - I thought she'd have Linette's number too

(But pleased for Elina, as her first ever event representing her new country, it obviously means quite a lot to her)
