Well, not sure if Ebden counts in that 12, but a gold medal in the Olympics is a nice return for Peers

Liam 1st alternate for US Open qualifying and Oliver and Jan 5th and 6th alternates. With no wild cards awarded yet surely a decent chance they all get in?

I hope so as I'm planning to go next week. Having traveled to Miami and Paris and for BOTH to be rained out on the days I had tickets, I'm hoping for better luck.

The Premier British Tour event is taking place at Sutton this week

The standard is always very high

The official LTA prize money, plus the additional sponsors' enhancement, is:

Winner: £2k
Finalist: £1k
SF: £425
QF: £200

I notice that there is a mixed doubles draw as well.

Yes, and regular doubles too, I think

I went there a couple of times - there was a good entry list both times, but in 2016 the list included Katy Dunne, Beth Grey, Alicia Barnett and Eleanor Dean, with Dan Smethurst and Jay Clarke in the men's draw. Marcus Willis and Joe Salisbury also played there if I remeber rightly.

Nice club, worth a visit if you are near.

I've never been there for the big summer event
But I went to Sutton for a lowly Tour event, in Feb or March, I think it was, about 8 years ago
I saw Ben Draper play (Jack's brother)
And 'dad' was there too - with various women simpering all round him - I dared to say out loud that Ben and Adam Thornton-Brown were acting up, and creating mayhem, and putting off the players around them - and one woman said to me, very shocked, 'shhhh, that's Roger Draper's son, you know'
Yeah, really? You don't say.....
I also saw Mike Shaw, I think, and Hugo Coquelin, I think, as a tiddler
And lots of others
But, yes, thoroughly enjoyed it

Only 4 wild cards have come from the qualifying entry list so looks like Oliver & Jan will be first and second alternates for now.
