J30 Bradfield, GB - clay - week 31

Always nice to see a lower-ranked domestic event giving everyone a chance

BOYS

The top seeds are:

Matt Upton; Arthur Attrill; Igesund (RSA); Nicolas Fisk

WCs went to Matt Ground; Eric Lorimer: Niall Pickerd-Barua; Henry Redfern

Coming through qualis were: Mo Aminu; Josh Craze; Michael Wilson; Kral (SVK)

In R1, the South African lad lost but the three GB top seeds went through

Matt, Eric and Henry all won - showing the wildcards were well-chosen

Mo and Josh Craze also won

As did, for GB, Jesse Clarkson, Rafe Samuel, Jack Berry and Dan Franco-Key

We have all-GB semis - with special congrats to Rafe for beating the second seed, and to young Eric

BOYS SFs:

(1) Matt Upton v (wc) Eric Lorimer (age 14)
(4) Nick Fisk v (8) Rafe Samuel

But, as Oscariyan says above, Matt is now in the final as Eric has pulled out. Hopefully he has somewhere important to be and is not injured.....(he won his match 6-0 6-2 yesterday, so it wasn't a long, hard match)

GIRLS SFs:

Majorek (POL) v (4) Eloise Newberry
(3) Nehir Tuna (TUR) v (7) Rosie Cho (age 14)

GIRLS Finals:

Malgorzata Bajorek (POL) v (7) Rosie Cho (age 14)

BOYS Finals:

(1) Matt Upton v (4) Nick Fisk

Although this is a great run for young Rosie, she also made the finals of the week 2 Bradfield event last year when only 13 hence, so far, she hasn't added any new points (not counting a one week delay)

I'm pretty sure Oluwajomiloju goes by Jomi. I think his dad's name is Mo.
