From what I can see, all US or North American events on the ATP, WTA and juniors should finish tomorrow night.
So we can definitely look at posting the votes Sunday evening. Lets say a close to nominations at 8 pm Sunday and the vote (semis or final depending on how we go with nominations) will go up sometime later that evening.
1. Andy Murray and Dan Evans - For bringing Andys fantastic career to an end in style. 2 great come from behind wins including that come back from 4-9 down in the first round match tiebreak. Fighting spirit that epitomised Andys entire career. Would have been nice for them to get a medal but Fritz and Paul was always likely to be a match too far. But Andys reaction after the 2 wins showed how much this meant to him.
2. Emma Raducanu - for staying strong and sticking with what she knew was best for her. She has already reached the quarters in Washington and her ranking is speeding up in the right direction. She will no longer need wildcards for most tournaments, and on top of which it's a pleasure to watch her play so tenaciously and with glimpses off her star qualities to thrill us,
3. George Loffhagen - for winning the title in Roehampton - beat the top seed and two other seeds in the process.
4. Rosie Cho - born 2010 - for winning the J30 singles title in Bradfield
5. Girls U16 European Summer Cup Team - who won the event - the first time ever for GBR - Hannah Klugman, Mika Stojsavljevic and Hollie Smart
6. Jacob Fearnley - for winning the Lincoln 75 challenger, including beating top seed Chris Eubanks, and entering the top 200 for the first time, reaching a CH ranking of 160 in the middle of the month. The win in Lincoln was his second Challenger trophy in his career and in 2024.
7. Sonay Kartal for winning back to back W35s in Roehampton. Also reaching a new career high ranking of 175 as of 13/8.
8. Annabel Wong - born 2010 - for winning the J30 singles title at Bradfield 2
9. Alice Gillan for winning the W15 in Dublin. Only her second career title (first in 2019). Up 66 places to a new CH of WR645.
10. Sophie Buzzigoli - for winning the J30 title in St Vincents. Sophie is only JR 2974, has not been a high-flyer previously in GB tennis, but she won the title, defeating the 2nd seed, over 1000 places higher ranked than her, Thea Latak (USA) JR 884 4-6 7-6(2) 6-2
11. Mimi Xu - still only 16 for winning both the womens singles and doubles titles at the W35 Aldershot. Moves Mimi higher up the WTA rankings to a new CH of WR596 and consolidating her excellent form. Also achieving this after sitting her Math A Level 2 years early. Is there no end to her talents?
12. Harriet Dart - for taking the opportunity to team up with Ellen Perez in Cincinnati (in Nicole Melichar's absence) and reaching the semi-finals only losing to the eventual winners. On the way they beat Hsieh/Mertens CR9 #2 before beating Liv and Tereza in the QF. That run earned her 390 ranking points and a jump in live rankings of 28 places to WR67.
13. Ben Gusic-Wan - for getting his first ATP singles point and first ATP ranking, age 16.
14. Katie Boulter/Heather Watson - for becoming the first British pair to reach the Olympic women's doubles quarterfinals in 28 years. Watson was competing in her fourth Olympics to become Britain's most decorated Olympic female tennis player.
15. Jack Pinnington Jones for winning the M25 at Aldershot without dropping a set.
16. Brooke Black - for getting her third WTA counter and therefore first WTA ranking, age 16.
17. Jan Choinski - for qualifying for the US Open - only British qualifier, he beat three much higher ranked opponents to qualify. It is also the first non British slam he will play the main draw in, a first for him to look forward to.
18. Olivia Nichols - reaching the GB no 1 in doubles and equalling her CH of WR57 set in June. A new CH will be set in the next rankings after she and her (now) regular partner Tereza Mihalikova are continuing their good run of results - reaching the SF in the W500 at Monterey and gaining 195 points.
