Are there any players which particularly stand out who people have heard of? Any that could be very promising? I have heard names such as Isabella Rebel and Sahara Baptiste mentioned on here before I believe. And Mika's sister is too young for these events?
Thanks CD, yeah boys also, just interested to know if there was any coming through who might be potential stars but I guess too young to tell probably.
Sahara Baptiste looks promising but is maybe only 10 this year and largely plays U11. U12 is a step up - looks like she will just miss out on a QF place which is probably a good performance.
I'm not that genned up (there are a couple of people who post occasionally, generally only on the young GB players, who might be able to help more)
Of the U12 girls, I also know of Evie Pritchard who's one of Tennis First grantees in the 2024-25 group
And Nishta Kesavan won - or did very well - in one of the Tennis Europe events in Liverpool, I think it was
Olivia Gaugry and her brother Max also put up a lot of videos (re tennis drills and promoting products and such)
Evie is 11U. Lot to like about her game and is the game style that will transition well into older age groups. Recently made the QF at the 12U Cat 1 in Bournemouth. Beat Sahara quite convincingly (Sahara needs to make a few changes, IMO, if she wants to progress. Moves very well but attitude on court is very poor and theres some technical issues)
I dont think NIshtar has ever gotten out of her box in a TE. I definitely dont remember her doing well in singles (happy to be proven wrong though - might be getting confused)
Olivia I think is one to watch. A bit over drilled at times in matches though - doesnt seem to adapt as well as some of the others.
Bella Rebel is very good but, again IMO, isnt quite back to her pre injury level yet
Not the strongest field at Bradfield. There some strong entries in the 11U and 12U clay nationals (LTA grade 1) in a couple of weeks so that will be interesting
I didn't want to name you specifically, when I said there were a couple of posters who seem to 'specialise' in our younger GB players and I hoped they'd post - but I did have you in mind - always really interesting input
Nishtar was only on my radar thanks to this article:
Anyway, all the players in the U12s have done two matches. Another one to go and then they'll have the qualifiers for the play-offs
In the U14 boys, the two Hungarian top seeds are left in. As are: Ruben Stanmore, Neo Armus, Manu SEIJAS-WRIGHT, Dash Green, Nick Morrell, and Harrison Clowe
In the U14 girls, the last 8 are: Liv Zingg, Papaya Douvall, Milica Sakamoto MILOJEVIC, Lilla Saad, Yanziye Zhang, Grace Watson, a Ukrainian girl and Anna Wright
PS Thanks for the heads-up about the cat 1 clay event - is that the U12 National Championship? The National U12 and U14s is coming up soon, yes? DavidC usually puts up a dedicated thread for those, of course, which is great- everyone likes Nationals

No, its a separate Grade 1 that starts this weekend. There are now 4 Grade 1s in the 11U-14U events a year on the LTA calender. One on each surface
Grass National championships, Clay court national championship, Indoor National Championships and the main one which is the (outdoor) Junior National Championships next month. (11U has been added to that as well)
The 14U clay court championships was earlier this year but the 11U and 12U is this weekend. All age groups played the grass grade 1 over the May half term and the Indoor grade 1 takes place over October half term
The match that really stood out (for me) was Grace Watson v Yanziye Zhang - a really high quality match which Zhang won, but just
The other three semi-finalists are Anna Wright, Milica Milojevic and Liv Zingg
the boys still has the two Hungarians, plus Neo Armus and Dash Green

I really rate Gracie (as her coaches and team mates call her) and she is on the LTA radar. Has been on the GB trips abroad. In many other age groups she would have made the GB team by now but with Megan and Liv theres only really one spot up for grabs in the 2011 born age group and theres Ingrid, Millica and Judy (Yanziye) who are right up there too. I didnt see any of the matches today but Judy is (usually) mentally quite tough whereas Grace can get very emotional, which has cost her many matches. When Grace has matured a bit mentally I think she is going to be very difficult to beat. Shes a real competitor and her parents are very committed. Shes home schooled and spends a lot of time on court
