Having played her recently I doubt whether Beth wanted that experience. Marino's serve appears to have been decisive, particularly in the first set.

Huge numbers of doubles across all matches today. Players really struggling with the swirling seaside wind.

Thought Beth gave it a decent go, but a little unfortunate with her draw. Shame as she's dropping chunky points this week.

I'm not at all impressed with the seeded pair - the scoreline isn't a true reflection of the match and I don't really know how Em and Gabriela lost the match

Ishi and Sato appear to be a new partnership this week. Beth and Maddy defeated Sato+ on their way to the W75 title in Kurume in May whilst ishi played in Nottingham last week
