Williams was one of Henry Searle's victims on his way to success in the Wimbledon boys' singles last year.

Thats good - shows Jakes form isnt just grass related and hes playing at the right level. pleased with that win.

Yes, John Lloyd when talking about Jake at Wimbledon said that unlike many of the Brits who do well at SW19 he had a game for surfaces other than grass. Good to see him win this one.

Ah yes, all these Brits that are so used to playing on grass throughout the year.

But still yes, good to see from Jake.

Quite the battling win form Charles.

I assume Charles and Jacob are chasing US open qualifying?

Broom was 5-3 (40-0) up in the first set and 4-2 up in the final set. He does still have the tendency to lose leads late on in sets. However, he did very well to pull through in the end and that isnt the worst 2nd round draw. Fearnley has the opportunity to avenge his defeat to Tu last week.

Well done Charles, alas showing good post grass season battling start. The US/Canada challenger swing is usually good for our guys, historically, lets hope one or two have decent runs.
