Millie B breaks - serves for the match again - gets broken again

Tiebreak

Ella v Heather continues to be a really interesting match, with some super tennis

Two more MPs for Millie B - but she played a bit tenatively

6-6 in the TB

Mimi finally got across the line - but it wasn't easy - well done to Dani for really making a good match out of it

Millie R lost her third set 6-0, which is not great

Been out with the dog and when I came back there were so many changes.
Makes you think that many of the players are not fit. Shame!

Millie B just didn't have the mental strength to recover after that tiebreak. She did nothing wrong on the match point at 5-3* but then played a weak game to be broken. But those match points in the breaker she could have done more with I think.

Heather grinds her way through in 3.

No idea about Millie R's match. Or Alice's. No stream for those.

But Ella's wasn't fitness - that was just Heather's experience really (and, possibly, her slightly better instrinsic level - it should be that after all, given the ranking of both)

Millie B had an MTO in the middle of the third - but I'm with Paul - that was nothing to do with it really

Her belief went after she lost that second set. She could see the end result - as could Manon - as could everyone else.

And, again, fair enough, in terms of ranking

Her regrets will be the second set, not the third

20 points for a SF place, yes?

So a nice return to the rankings guaranteed for Vic Allen and Millie B

And a boost for the others, especially Mimi

Correct. QF=11, SF=20, F=33, W=50

And the same in doubles

I've just realised that Heather is paying the 18 year-old who Hannah Klugman played twice last year in Junior Grand Slams
And it was 1-1
Hannah beat her in the US Open Juniors last year
And the Japanese girl beat Hannah in Junior Wimbly just before that
