Wow, super win, Beth

(and the opponent's 'drop shot' on the second MP in the third was enough to make a coach pull their hair out!)

Beth has now beaten players in the top 250 five times, but twice the beaten opponent has been the same player

Another good win for Ella who's starting to put together some consistently good results. Very disappointing for Marni - lots of points up for grabs and a good draw. But well done Mimi.

Well done to Grace Piper, who's put on a some nice muscle since being at US college - which is all for the good

But the match was pretty spotty - not greay quality - and Naiktha is her own worst enemy at times

Hmm, greay and spotty. Probably just as well that I was out all day and unable to watch !

Reaching the doubles QF means that Millie B, Hep and Vic all earn 11 points and a doubles ranking when the next lists are published.

Grace and Millie B need one more win to get a singles ranking, but Jaquelyn got her third counter (all in Nottingham this year) and will have a ranking.

Millie Bissett has already got Manon Leonard banging tennis balls into the fencing and screeching - all good

It's been a great tussle between Heather and Ella - and Ella takes the first set !

7-5

Some lovely tennis in that one

Dani v Mimi has also been a tussle - with Mimi finally edging it 6-4

Millie B held serve and then had three BPs at the start of the second. She did nothing wrong but couldn't take it, got back on serve, with Manon playing better (chipping her way to the net all the time ). Millie has now broken again (didn't see that) but close.....

Millie B has had a MP on Manon's serve - but Manon managed to land a decent first serve just when she needed it

Millie now serving for the match
