RE: Week 29 - ITF W50 - Nottingham, Hard

Hi - Millies Mum here - re Nottingham Tennis Centre - ITF event is free - you don't need a ticket or tell anyone what you're there for - parking is free also - it gets a bit busy when events are on but there's plenty of it - there is a cafe upstairs where the players usually go - they do a nice jacket potato and also pasta and coffee and cake and panninis etc .. its a council run facility so there is other stuff going off with kids etc - they are building a paddle centre there as well so its a bit of a building site at the minute - you can just wander round and watch whatever match takes your fancy and watch the players warming up - also for info the code to get out the barrier in the car park is 1379 - at least it was yesterday.

Might see you there ... The reception is on the left and the gym is there so you can see players in there as well.

Enjoy!

Nottingham University is across the road from there - it has a beautiful lake and there is a cafe and an ice cream van as well - there is also some miniature golf if you fancy that!

Michelle

Thank you, I'm sure that will be very helpful, I'll let the person who asked on Twitter know! If it wasn't so far away, I'd be tempted to go along myself.

That's a lot better than some places. In the past I've had to talk my way into Chiswick on two or my four visits there as security weren't going to let me in. Mind you, that was a private club so a bit different.

Lots of breaks so far but we're currently on serve

love the fact that Mimi and Hev are both wearing their Wimbledon whites - might as well get good use out of them, given it's summer time

Pleased Hev won. Would have been a bit dire if she hadnt. Pleased for Mimi to, made up some points this week. Will Mimi play at the W50 at Roehampton seeing as she reached the semis here?

Mimi isn't on the acceptance list for Roehampton - automatic withdrawal for Monastir - but she's a late withdrawal from there. So could play Roehampton, but would need a wild card

Good to see them recover from their disappointing Wimbledon performance.

It was a close match though, the scratch team of Mimi and Katie S pushed them hard.
